Buzz Capital Attends The Sussex Business Show 2022

What is The Sussex Business Show? 

The Sussex Business Show was held on the 5th May 2022, in Ardingly, Sussex, and Buzz Capital was well represented.

The Sussex Business Show help businesses promote their organisations and brands in Sussex on a terrific, fresh, and exciting platform. It is a valuable and educational event that offers a genuine understanding of the importance of networking and marketing, but it differs in that it promotes a laid-back, informal attitude.

Having been postponed in previous years due to the pandemic, there was a real buzz about the place! There was a lot of energy in the room, and it was obvious that the hundreds in attendance were enjoying the opportunity to network in person again. In what is described as “the most inclusive business exhibition in Sussex”, Sonny Cutting, who runs the show, did a fabulous job ensuring that the day ran smoothly for the 400 plus attendees, the 80 plus exhibitors and also the keynote speakers. 

Highlights From The Sussex Business Show 

We particularly enjoyed listening to Kristina Pereckaite, keynote speaker and founder of South East Angels who provides a valuable community for local investors.

The day gave Buzz an opportunity to explore common ground with lots of companies, in particular, explaining our creative industry and R&D tax credit loans. We are looking forward to attending again next year and connecting with more local businesses.

Some other noteworthy fun on the day was several local start-ups pitching to investors and competing for investment as part of the Start-up Investment Hub. Well done to everyone that participated!

Lots of individuals from the day were extremely positive about our efforts to offer simple and straightforward financial solutions. One, in particular, was Amanda Young, head of membership at the Sussex Chamber of Commerce, which is one of only 53 chambers in the UK to be accredited by the British Chambers of Commerce.

As Buzz is not only a property lender and R&D lender, but also a film financier and advances funds against VAT claims, we found the Sussex Business Show very useful.
